Positive, Minus and Interesting

Today at extension we were reflecting what we liked and disliked through out the whole Rock Our World project. By doing so we made a chart with three sections, Positive, Minus and Interesting. Here's what Selena, Angela and I wrote.

Positive
  • Making the Boil Up.
  • Our interview with Carol Anne.
  • Making our mihi on flicker
  • Food in a day project helped us with one of the questions from Carol Anne
  • Singing Ngawka
  • Sleeping at school with the 20 hour famine people
  • Drawing our Matou Mihi
  • Making different tracks on Garageband
  • Singing "Drums Of The Island " to the " Pass The Kai" movie

Minus
  • Carol Anne's oven wasn't working so they made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead
  • We had to wake up very early (5:30 to be exact)
  • We had to wait for a long time for our interview with Carol Anne
  • Not having enough time to get prepared

Interesting
  • Seeing other class' recipes from around the world
  • Watching other class' movies
  • Making our google earth tour
  • Typing our recipes on pages and drawing pictures for them

We had a lot of fun during Rock Our World and I'm pretty sure that wasn't all of the things we got up to!Bye for now.

  1. Hi Toreka.

Well done! Its always good to reflect after certain events. Looks like Angela, Selena & yourself did some serious analysis and reflection. Thats a great list you have compiled of positive, minus & interesting points to do with your project.

So will there be another ROW Project this year? Maybe next term? Can't wait to find out what the subject matter will be if there is one.

    Keep up the great work!

  2. Malo Toreka.
Your reflection is certainly clear to read and understand. Hopefully Carol Anne's oven will be fixed soon and she'll be able to try out our recipe. I wonder if her visitors from New Zealand that day were able to tell her more about this delicious kiwi dish?

Toreka, your writing is improving all the time. I am looking forward to reading your next post.

    Keep it going!

  3. Hi Toreka, I read your PMI with great interest as I know each ROW is different and I was keen to get your perspective on it. Somehow I thought the Food topic might be a hit with you kids, and it seems like it was. I was impressed with the thinking your group of 3 put into this and what came through to me was that you are a group with a wide range of interests. Keep that up and you will have very exciting lives ahead. Well done

  4. Hi Toreka
Your PMI was really interesting and in your minus I noticed that you had to wake up at 5:30 you must have been very tierd at that time. But it would have been fun making a good New Zealand boil up. Keep up the good work Toreka
