Wonderful Waiwera Part 2

" I bags the room with the double bed" I yelled when we raced inside. " No! I said it was mine first." Daniel shouted. " Would you two be quiet?" My mother said in an angry tone," We just got here and you two are already fighting. Now do me a favor and be quiet!" I stared at Daniel. "First one to the bed gets it." I whispered as soon as my mum left. I ran to all the rooms and tried to find the double bed. I shoved open the last door and jumped on to the bed. Seconds later Daniel pushed me off and he rolled on to the bed. " YOU CHEATER!" I shouted at him. He started to make funny faces at me. " Okay, next time we come here YOU get the single  bed. Deal?" he asked, while putting his hand out. " Okay" I giggled. We shook on it. " One more thing." I said slyly."What?" Daniel said. " Get out of my room!" I shouted. " Gees, calm down" He mumbled under his breath as he left. Mwahahahahahahaha! I had won the race. " Reka do you want to come swim in the hotel pool?" My dad yelled from the sitting room. " Of COURSE!" I said while racing to find my togs. Moments later Daniel was trying to push me off the big black donut. " Stop it!" I cried.  "Ha ha!" he chuckled. I eventually fell of and started splashing water in to Daniel's face. "No fair!" he yelled, " You've got goggles and I can't find mine!" By now I was happy with the revenge I had given to Daniel.  I saw my little brother race to the gate and pushed it open. He slowly walked in to the pool from the shallow bit" Hi guys!" he said eagerly. Oh, boy........

Wonderful Waiwera......Part 1

It all started on a blazing hot morning. We were all in a rush. " Do you have enough t-shirts?Did you pack your tooth brush?......Good girl.... Daniel what about you?" Yes, it was time. We were going to Waiwera!!! We usually go there during school holidays! We (specifically me) were all very very excited! I mean, how could you not be excited about going to Waiwera? Beautiful beaches, fancy motels, fantastic pools, what's not exciting? Anyway, we all hopped in to the van and drove off. I pulled out the books I had stuffed in to my bag and began reading. It was going to be a long drive.I happened to fall asleep during the ride.

All of a sudden I woke up and we were driving into the motel driveway. Justus squealed excitedly. His squeal pierced my ear. Ouch! Thankfully, I was too happy to get angry at him. We all jumped out and started to unpack all of our luggage out of the boot. We walked through to our apartment and the door sign read 'Cloud Nine'. What did that mean?

One For The Whanau

Kia Ora everyone.  I know that everyone in this beautiful world loves their family. I love mine especially because they are always there for me and they always encourage me.  They are very humorous and make me laugh.  I love my family heaps, more than you can ever imagine.  They are such a big part of my life.  They are all nice and easy to get along with. Tanielu and Justus are my brothers who make a lot of noise. My mum Andrea and my dad Ray are very funny and kind.

PR-PR-PR-PRIZEGIVING????

"" And now we're on to the year five awards" Mr Burt announced. " I'm so excited" I squealed to Selena.  It was the night of Pt England's 2009 Prize giving and I felt as if I was in Egypt, man it was hot!! " First of all the 100% attendance awards." Mr Burt declared" Maranda.......Aidan.......and..... Toreka." My heart thumped like crazy. "D-d-d-id  Mr Burt j-j-just call my n-n-name?" I thought in my head. Everyone turned around straight away and started to stare.Thankfully my friends and family started to cheer. It made me feel a bit better. As I hastily walked down the red carpet, I tried to imagine I wasn't at prize giving, but at home walking down the drive way. It REALLY helped. As soon as I got my award my older brother (Tanielu) hung two lollies necklaces around my neck. I looked down and I couldn't believe my eyes. In front of me, hanging around my neck were the my most favourite chocolates in the whole wide world.  Finally, I got to go and sit back down. But it didn't matter because I had to go back up again! This time, it as for getting distinction in my writing exams. I got another  lolly necklace. My nana must have been busy. Prize giving was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to next year's one!
