Wonderful Waiwera......Part 1

It all started on a blazing hot morning. We were all in a rush. " Do you have enough t-shirts?Did you pack your tooth brush?......Good girl.... Daniel what about you?" Yes, it was time. We were going to Waiwera!!! We usually go there during school holidays! We (specifically me) were all very very excited! I mean, how could you not be excited about going to Waiwera? Beautiful beaches, fancy motels, fantastic pools, what's not exciting? Anyway, we all hopped in to the van and drove off. I pulled out the books I had stuffed in to my bag and began reading. It was going to be a long drive.I happened to fall asleep during the ride.

All of a sudden I woke up and we were driving into the motel driveway. Justus squealed excitedly. His squeal pierced my ear. Ouch! Thankfully, I was too happy to get angry at him. We all jumped out and started to unpack all of our luggage out of the boot. We walked through to our apartment and the door sign read 'Cloud Nine'. What did that mean?

  1. What fun! You have written a tantalising start to your adventure Toreka. I will be looking out for the next instalment. Like when you went on the slides, and to the beach and.... what's next?

  3. Hello Toreka! I love your writing. I had to laugh when you wrote about Justus and not having time to be angry with him. Those boys are very fortunate to have you as their sister. We had a lovely time didn't we. Now you make sure you complete this story - I can't wait to read it. Looking forward to the creative work you will deliver this year. Keep it going my dear!
    Lots of love

  4. Hey Toreka,
Your writing is so descriptive I feel like I was right there in the car with you. I've heard Justus squeal like that so I think I know what you mean! If you think one hour to Waiwera is long, try 6 hours towing a boat to Heanderson Bay! Sounds like we all had great holidays though; -don't we have an amazing country to live in!
