Go the diamonds! Yaaayyy! Tomorrow is our last game for Term 3. We are all very excited. "We" is the year 6 Point England Netball team : Diamonds. Our coach is Mrs Nua, who teaches Room 20. She is a very good coach. In netball, there are 9 people. But two people are subs every game.

Yay! Yay! Yay!

I am so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, happy!!! Because, I, Toreka, made it in to the Year Six PES Netball team! YAAAAAAY!! This year, our netball team is called the DIAMONDS. I know. Fancy. But anyway, on Thursday night, last week, we had our first game. Against the Mt Eden Mystics. I know! Fancy. Again. But we won! The total was 9 to 3. It was a hard match. In the first half, I played 'G.A.' which stands for Goal Attack. That meant I got to shoot! Unfortunately, I got no goals in. In the second round I got shifted to the position " Wing Attack" It is quite tiring. Trust me. The last thing I wanted to do that night was to click some bones! Boy was it a tough game.

Nerve Wracking Netball

It was a hot summer's day and I was sweating more than a man who just finished a marathon. We were trialling for Pt England's Year Six Netball team. Man it was hot! After I clicked a few bones, and almost had a heart attack, from running too fast, I got switched to the 'Center' position. It was quite hard. Everyone was crowding around me whenever I got the ball. That's why I was happier when I wasn't playing in the 'center' position. Playing netball last year, was really fun. One time, it started raining and my team, were the ONLY people who stayed outside and practised! Although it is tiring, it is quite fun. I hope that I make it in to the YEAR SIX netball team this year. I would also like to say GOOD LUCK to all the other people who trialed for the team.

Nervous About Netball

It was the first game for the Pt England J2 netball team. We all felt nervous about the netball game. During the game, we zigged, we zagged, so we zigg zagged over the court. My heart pounded, my muscles ached was I able to continue the game? Just then the buzzer went and I was so relieved. I swapped with Naomi and felt excitement creep up my spine. The second round had begun. What would happen next? I leaped for the ball, I jumped for the ball, I shouted for the ball. In the end, it was all worth while. We had won the very first game. I was so happy, everything had fallen in to place. Hearing we had won made me more confident in my self.
